Fiona Kinsella BA MA RAD RTS

Fiona began her Ballet training in Dublin at the age of 10 and by age 15 had reached Advanced Level in the Vocational Grades of both the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Following this, she attended Digges Lane College of Dance where she studied Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance and American Tap Dance. During this time she took Master Classes with Dame Antoinette Sibley and many other visiting teachers from the Royal Academy of Dance.
Fiona is a fully qualified and registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance with over 25 years teaching experience. She also holds a first class honours degree in Communications and a Masters in International Relations from Dublin City University. Both of these degrees were undertaken while teaching ballet in order to enhance her teaching skills with education in Psychology, Cognition and Social Behaviour and Sociology. She has dedicated her career to providing ballet training of the highest quality to students from all over Dublin. As well as teaching and choreographing ballet and contemporary dance in Dublin Fiona spent 3 years teaching ballet in the Middle East. Upon her return from the Middle East she was a freelance ballet teacher for various ballet schools in North and South Dublin. She also spent 2 years working at the Gate Theatre, Dublin before founding her own school, the Kinsella School of Ballet, in 2005. As well as delivering classes to her ballet students, she is a mentor on the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Teacher Training programme.
As Artistic Director Fiona choreographs, produces and directs all of our school shows alongside teaching and preparing the students for Royal Academy of Dance Exams. She has also produced and directed 2 short dance films.
